South Los Angeles DUI Crash Ends In Fiery Death

September 4, 2011-According to burn injury reports, the driver of a smart car swerved on the roadway crashing into a disabled vehicle that resulted in the death of one person and injuries to two other people. According to the California Highway Patrol the deadly accident occurred on the 110 Freeway at approximately 2:40 a.m. in South Los Angeles.

California Highway Patrol officials an 18 year old was driving a Smart Car and swerved off of the side of the road hitting a 1921 Chevy Monte Carlo that was disabled on the shoulder. The two other men standing outside of the disabled vehicle were injured, with a 47 year old man being critically injured and transported from the crash by paramedics to USC Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition, with a broken pelvis, and third degree burns to his face and arms. The third man, a 19 year old from Compton was transported to California Hospital Medical Center, with complaints of pain in both legs.
